During the summer, we shift gears with the school-age group and provide a fun and exciting summer experience. Last summer, our weekly activities at The Big House consisted of a science experiment every Wednesday, waterslides, a shaving cream fight, pizza party, movie time to relax and escape the heat, and as much outdoor playtime as we could pack into one day! Our field trips included: The Lafayette Science Museum, The Children's Museum of Acadiana, Prehistoric Park, Jump Zone, Bowling, Pizza Artista, Swimming at Riverside every Tuesday, and many more.
Our typical schedule for a summer week includes two field trips per week, and several structured activities during our time spent at The Big House. We send weekly emails to parents in order to keep them up-to-date on our activities, and are always available by phone, email, or in person to chat.
All children attending summer camp are expected to provide their own nutritious lunch. Occasionally, lunch is provided in the cost of a field trip, or we provide lunch at The Big House.
